Three Timber Harvest Plans Hit Guerneville -- Public Meeting Called3 plans to harvest a total of 202 acres of forested landscape in the neighborhoods of Neeley Road, and Pocket and Mays Canyons, are right now being reviewed at the Calif. Dept. of Forestry. Some of the proposed logging would be very visible from Highway 116 and from town itself. What would the effects of the logging be? Upon traffic safety, upon scenic views, upon fire safety, upon existing erosion and sedimentation problems, and upon landslides? What are the long-term cumulative impacts? To raise these questions and to express your own views about the outcome of these proposals, you are urged to attend a meeting on Friday, June 2, with Supervisor Mike Reilly, CDF officials, and Guerneville residents. The meeting will be at 6:30 in the Guerneville Library. Will CDF protect Guerneville and the public safety and interests?
