What IS Going On Behind the Sea Ranch?
Photographs of extensive logging operations (clearcutting and other even-aged management) in the Gualala watershed, Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Note in particular: sediment, burns, amd landslides -- the effects of logging. What you cannot see in such photos are the resulting increased air and water temperatures, pesticides, and the effects upon wildlife. The pictures were taken variously from 1996 through 2003. The majority of the images by RRRAUL and Gualala River Improvement Network (GRIN). Maps: KRIS Gualala.
