Dear Governor Davis,
We are disappointed that you have refused to link watershed-assessment program funding to passage of strong watershed protection legislation in AB 717.
In a speech in March you promised to ensure that "all old-growth trees are spared from the lumberjack's ax. " Now is the time to honor that promise and also go the the plate for the strongest protection possible for the dwindling salmon populations.
Fulfill your promise by supporting a strong, enforceable watershed analysis program in AB 717 to protect our forests, fisheries and water supply.
